  1. The mRNA abundances were determined in embryos at 1, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours post fertilization (hpf). The expression levels that were normalized to 18S rRNA are shown as means ± SD of four independent RNA isolations. Expression values were multiplied by 106 for clarity of presentation. Beta-actin transcript levels are exemplarily shown for a highly expressed gene for comparison.
