  1. Doubling times were calculated using the data from Figure 2. Low density doubling times were calculated for cells in the range of 2 × 105 to 5 × 106 cells/ml. High density doubling times were calculated for cells in the range of 5 × 106 to 2 × 107 cells/ml. All values are means ± SEM's from three or more independent assays. A * indicates a statistically significant difference with p < 0.05; ** indicates p < 0.01, comparing the value to the wild type value (1-way ANOVA, Dunnett's test).
