Diurnal activity pattern is associated with emergence behaviour. Actogram of early (EE, emergence rank 1, red) and late emerging fish (LE, rank 10, blue) during 3 days under light-dark regime (a) and during three subsequent days in constant light (b). Locomotion activity is represented as average swimming velocities over 30 min (V, mm s−1) as a function of time (hours circadian time, hCT).
