Diurnal activity pattern is associated with emergence behaviour. Locomotion activity is represented as average swimming velocities over 30 min (V, mm s−1) as a function of time (hours circadian time, hCT). Activity recording started at 7 hCT of day 1 and ended at 7 hCT of day 6. The light regime switched at day 3 from light-dark (14:10) cycles to constant light, indicated by white and grey bars.
