In e, the ganglion was hybridized with Ls-Mnx after retrograde filling with biocytin through the three pedal nerves to the foot. The three nerves to the neck and columella, also involved in locomotion, were not filled. The anterior cluster of Mnx+ cells is filled, as well as about half of the posterior cluster.
