Strain promotes vascular growth even with VEGFR-2 inhibition. a HUVECs were grown in fibrin gels with magnetic beads and treated with either no treatment (NT) control media, 25 ng/mL VEGF (V), vehicle control (Veh), and/or 3 µM SU5416 (SU). Samples were either cultured without external magnetic stimulation (No Magnet) or over a rotating magnetic field (Magnet). Gels were stained for VE-cadherin, and representative images are shown.
